Abstract

ABSTRAK Leadership is the art to influence people so they can do their job correctly. One of the most important in leadership to determine good performance is motivation from a leader. Of course, it must be built according to the values of Christian faith. Motivation and performance are two different aspects but have close relationship. However, motivation is the power which drives leadership to runs and produces readable performance. The quality of a leader is not only assessed from the results achieved, but also determined by the influence of a leader and the ability to creating situations that enable good cooperation with all teams. Therefore, a leaders must be able to involve and empower all of his/her followers to have enthusiasm and commitment to achieving all tasks successfully. Then, motivation is the dynamics in church and society, because it is become like inner power that gives people a passion for being excited, brave, steadfast and more diligent in facing challenges.
